Fundraising

Band Cards

The band begins every new school year with our discount card donation drive. The band discount card typically has more than 30 area businesses represented, all of which are offering amazing deals and discounts to card holders. Patrons receive a card for a donation of $5.00. Students are expected to sell 25 cards each. This effort lasts from June to August.

Fall Fundraiser

The fall fruit and cheese fundraiser is the band's most important fundraising effort. Students sell citrus fruit provided directly from the grower in Florida,as well as cheese and candy products. This fundraiser starts in September and runs through October.

Spring Fundraiser

The band's Spring fundraiser occasionally changes but in recent years has included mulch, Ham and Goodies Cookies, cookie dough and other candy products. This fundraiser runs in March and April.

Patriot Yard

The Patriot Yard Program provides an opportunity to show your patriotism while Dobyns-Bennett Band students defray costs and expenses for band activities. For a $40 tax-deductible donation, Patriot Yard subscribers will receive a 3’ x 5’ American Flag placed in their yard on five patriotic holidays: Labor Day through Patriot Day, Veterans Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, and Independence Day. The band places a flag a day or two before the holiday, and collects the flag a day or two after the holiday.
