Melodic Dictation

Below you will find three audio files with melodic excerpts to be dictated. Above these files, you will find a pdf file of the staff paper with the starting note and key for each excerpt (they are in order). You will need to right click on each link, select "Save target as" and save them somewhere that will be easy to find, such as your desktop. You need to be sure that when you save the audio files, that they are indeed saved as .mp3's. The adobe file should be saved as a .pdf and will open with acrobat reader. Each excerpt is played 4 times with a one minute pause after the first playing, then a 30 second pause between the other three. I encourage you to do your best to notate them with one playing of the file (4 repeats in the file itself). If you are struggling, you may repeat the process. You will hear the metronome give you a 2 measure count-off before the music begins.
