Senior Clinic Info

Once again, congratulations to those students who were accepted into this year’s Senior Band Clinic. All of the information about the upcoming event is posted below. If you have any questions, contact one of the band directors via phone or email.

Thursday, February 2 – Saturday, February 4

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 2

BRING A CHECK FOR $ 75.00 To D-B Band Boosters ON THIS DAY. (or a note using your student account)

1:00 p.m. Dismiss from classes and load bus/or van in Vocational parking lot

1:30 p.m. Leave for Park Vista Hotel, Gatlinburg

3:00 p.m. Stop in Sevierville for lunch

4:00 p.m. Load and leave for Park Vista

4:45 p.m. Arrive Park Vista, check in and prepare for evening practice

7:30 p.m. Evening practice begins

10:30 p.m. Meeting for All State Students and Directors in Gardenview Room A & B – ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED!!!!

11:00 p.m. Curfew in rooms!!!!! – Pizza and drinks will be given to you by the chaperones

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 2

7:00 a.m. Wake up and Breakfast – Buffet breakfast in Park Vista Dining Room (somewhat expensive)

NOTE: Students who do not want to eat buffet breakfast at Park Vista, may bring suitable breakfast food with them, It is also our intent to have biscuits for you that morning.

9:00 a.m. Rehearsal – See breakdown of rehearsal rooms/bands above

12:00 noon Break for lunch – Parents will transport to downtown

1:30 p.m. Leave downtown to return for afternoon rehearsal

2:00 p.m. Rehearsal – See breakdown of rehearsal rooms/bands above

3:30 p.m. Blue band winds & percussion selected for the Orchestra will rehearse with the Orchestra

4:30 p.m. Break for dinner – Parents will transport to downtown

6:00 p.m. Lee University Wind Ensemble Concert

7:00 p.m. Rehearsals begin

9:00 p.m. Evening rehearsal over – Free time in Gatlinburg – Parents will transport

11:00 p.m. Curfew in rooms !!

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 3

NOTE: All rehearsals and performances will be in the Grand Ballroom. Students will need to remove all luggage from their room because check out time is before you have finished (or have even started) your concerts. There will be a place to store your luggage while you perform.

11:00 a.m. Please pick up your things after your concert.

7:00 a.m. Wake up and breakfast

8:30 a.m. Orchestra rehearsal

9:15 a.m. White Band rehearsal

10:00 a.m. Green Band rehearsal

10:45 a.m. Red Band rehearsal

11:30 a.m. Blue Band rehearsal

12:30 p.m. Blue Band warm-up

1:00 p.m. Blue Band Concert
Red Band warm-up

1:45 p.m. Red Band Concert
Green Band warm-up

2:30 p.m. Green Band Concert
White Band warm-up

3:15 p.m. White Band Concert
Orchestra warm-up

4:00 p.m. Orchestra Concert

PARENT NOTE:

Parents are responsible for transportation of students from Gatlinburg home after the concerts on Saturday, February 7. Students should bring money for at least 5 meals and snacks. Due to limited parking, parents will need to either arrive early for concerts or park at Civic Center and ride shuttle to Park Vista.
