The deadline for placing your student or business ad in the 2010 TVS program is fast approaching - Friday, September 3. Many of you would prefer to use a picture of your student while in uniform. This is possible, however the program designer needs to know how many and what size (full page, ½ page, and 1/4 page) ads are to place throughout the program. You need to purchase your ad space by September 3rd. Pictures will be due Tuesday, September 7th. This will allow parents the opportunity to photograph their students on Friday prior to the game. Please arrive early to allow plenty of time your student to dress and for photographs be taken prior to warm-up which begins promptly at 6:15 pm.
Click here to access the order form with all the details. Please feel free to contact Claire McKissick via e-mail at clairemckissick@embarqmail.com or by phone at 423.863.1340 if you have any questions.

Band Cards
Donations Due August 31 |
We are excited about the quality of merchants and the discounts offered on this year's card. Each student received an envelope containing 25 D-B Band Merchant Discount Cards. We would ask each Band and Guard member to collect a minimum $5.00 donation for each card. You can receive additional cards once you have turned in donations for your first set of 25. |
| |
Extra cards may be received on the practice field at the end of each Band Camp evening practice and Tuesday after school practices. Please contact Beth or George Proffitt (967.0402 or pro4@embarqmail.com) if you need additional cards at any other time.
Students who receive $5.00 or more for each of 25 or more cards will be invited to an ice cream celebration in September.
All donations and extra cards must be turned in by Tuesday, August 31, 2010

The extra hot weather through two weeks of band camp has us running low Gatorade. You are probably wondering why? It takes two (2) large Gatorade containers to fill one (1) 50 quart cooler. Our students consume at least two 50 quart coolers during each practice. Remember, there are over 300 of them. Our students need Gatorade or a similar product to remain hydrated during the extreme temperatures that show no sign of improving. You may drop off Gatorade anytime prior to, during or at the conclusion of Tuesday and Thursday after school practices. Your student will greatly appreciate your donation!

Committee Chair Opportunities |
We are looking for a few good people to fill the following vacancies. The continued success of our program is totally dependent on the commitment and dedication of our volunteers. You do not have to have experience with the boosters to fill any of these vacancies. Folks will step forward to help you learn and get the job done. Most of these opportunities require a limited time commitment and can be done from your home and/or in the evenings. Please volunteer today! |
| |
Newsletter
The boosters publish newsletters periodically throughout the year. You have or will receive one soon. We need a volunteer to solicit content, produce, and distribute the newsletter. Please contact TC Seguin at 288-7143 or click here to send him an e-mail if you have questions or are interested in filling this vacancy.
Spring Fund-Raiser
The Spring Fund-Raiser chair works with the vendors for pricing and product, distributes and collects the orders forms, places the order, and distributes the product when it arrives. This person also works with the treasurer for the collection of the money and the volunteer coordinator to obtain volunteers. Again, TC is the man to contact by phone at 288-7143 or click here to send him an e-mail if you have questions or are interested in filling this vacancy.
